Magicshine Bicycle Lights and Accessories: MJ-808e MJ-872 (scroll down for store)

I originally became interested in these lights as a winter training solution for my clients. I liked them so much, I decided to become a dealer! I've been riding on totally unlit country roads with the 808e with zero reservation except full speed down the steepest hills and even then with only slight concern. The MJ-872 is like a 200 foot long envelope of daylight. The ultimate off-road setup would be 872 on the bars and 808e on a helmet. Helmet mount is extra. Extension cable is necessary from light on helmet to battery in jersey pocket.

 

The battery is so small and light that one of my clients mounts the battery on the back of her helmet. Battery run time is rated 3 hours full power, 7.5 hours low(3 brightness settings.) The 872 runtime is rated at 2.2 hours on high(4 brightness levels.) The switch on the back lights in different colors to indicate battery level, but in my experience, this feature is not very precise. Mounts in literally seconds with a simple o-ring on the light and velcro straps for the battery.
